Hiya, welcome to Sailor Coruscant's Archive. I'm your host, Sailor Coruscant, though in real life I go by the (somewhat more prosaic) name 'Catherine'. I'm a PhD student who occasionally dabbles in fandom. That means that as you wander around my site, you'll no doubt find fanfiction and fanart for my various projects, but there are also a few original stories (one of which was even published for money - well, gift vouchers), my photo albums (currently under construction) and of course my online diary (which I am going to update any day now)! So please look around, have fun, let me know your thoughts on yaoi and hopefully we'll become friends someday.

My day to day life is sometimes interesting, sometimes full of insight, and sometimes just plain weird. So, here for the very first time is the totally insane rantings and ravings of Catherine. I don't normally approve of sharing my thoughts with the internet at large, but what the heck. Let's give it a try, shall we?

Chibi-Sailor Coruscant in a pinch!Having a bad day, but I'm blogging anyway...

Actually, while I'm throwing out the occasional random thing I want for my birthday, I want to go see The War of the Roses (link only to the first part, because they don't have a combined page). Because 8 hours of Shakespeare sounds simply wonderful. Also, Cate Blanchett as Richard II. (And under 30s get tickets for $30/part, which is cheaper than the student rate...)

Also, I found this article, Men's bra stimulates otome (girlish) side in men and felt I had to link it here. Oh Japan. ("Otome" is more commonly used to mean "maiden/maidenly", so it's not just blokes getting in touch with their feminine side. They're getting in touch with their frilly princess side.)

Chibi-Sailor Coruscant in a pinch! Fanfiction Update...

Since the reveal happened over at x2009, I can finally link to the story I wrote. I'm told that it's readable even if you don't know X (X/1999) since I was my usual vague self in not giving character names or really explaining what's going on.

Title: From Whence We Have Fallen
Rating: PG

Characters/Pairing: Subaru Sumeragi

Warnings: Descriptions of the nuclear blast at Hiroshima and recollections of canon violence.

Author's note: Thanks to Drew for betaing this.
Summary: The Japanese built to withstand earthquakes. Subaru reflects on those things that remain.

( And in Babylon was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. )

More Mochi
Yo all. I'm a little tired today, and I can't really remember what I was going to post about, so I'll just have to write a couple of different posts in between doing my housework.

But first thing's first. For those who requested it, here is the recipe for mochi that I made:
Mochi in Peanut Sauce

I've got some other recipes that I'll post as I try them, along with reviews and stuff.

James and I are currently up to Sailor Moon ep42, for anyone who is keeping up with that story.

Oh, and I spent two hours last night setting up a message board on this site. You can view it here.

The Mochi of the Moon is sticky, but it puffs up when you cook it...
Today I made mochi.
Weirdest stuff on earth.
Actually, I'm not sure that I made it right, well, at least, maybe my shop's definition of mochiko is different to that of the person who wrote the recipe, for I made it exactly to the recipe.
But the peanut butter sauce was yummy.
So was the mochi, truth be told.
Yet it was the strangest stuff... It was really odd, in that when a light pressure is applied, the mochi dough behaved as a liquid, but when you put some omph in it, it seems to shatter like a solid. Really weird.
But I had fun anyway.
In the interests of improving my mochi, I'm going to put a formal request here:
Send me your recipes!!!!
Oh, and odango recipes are also welcome!!!
*hugs*
