Hiya, welcome to Sailor Coruscant's Archive. I'm your host, Sailor Coruscant, though in real life I go by the (somewhat more prosaic) name 'Catherine Braiding'. I'm a PhD student looking at star formation, who occasionally dabbles in fandom. That means that as you wander around my site, you'll no doubt find fanfiction and fanart for my various projects, but there are also a few original stories (one of which was even published for money - well, gift vouchers), my photo albums (currently under construction) and of course my online diary (which I am going to update any day now)! So please look around, have fun, let me know your thoughts on yaoi and hopefully we'll become friends someday.

My day to day life is sometimes interesting, sometimes full of insight, and sometimes just plain weird. So, here for the very first time is the totally insane rantings and ravings of Catherine. I don't normally approve of sharing my thoughts with the internet at large, but what the heck. Let's give it a try, shall we?

   Catherine in 3D-land...

This morning I woke to the doorbell ringing, which could only mean one thing: my package from Singapore had arrived! And lo, it was good:
Yup, that is my mailing address, in case people want to send me love (or presents, I'm good with either). *grins* But what's important is these guys used real stamps to post mail, which is awesome! I have to soak them off and put them in my lack of a stamp album on the weekend.

Of course, who really cares about the packaging, when there are toys inside?! And bubblewrap!

So then there were packets to be opened! And toys to be played with! I suppose I ought to point out that these are the CLAMP in 3D-LAND (someday, CLAMP, I will understand your random capitalisations) Series 1 figures, and that I also have 2 of the Series 2 figures that Charles picked up in Japan for me a few weeks ago. Because he's awesome like that, and in fact it was seeing the detail on the Series 2 toys that made me want to collect the whole set. So, thank you, dude! Anyway, on to the photo!

Whee! Look at all those little guys (they're named on the flickr page, if you don't recognise them)! They're really well made, and absolutely gorgeous (particularly Syaoran from CCS, though you can't quite see him in this picture). The detail is amazing - for example Yuuko's kimono sleeves have little flowers painted on them in two tones, Chii's eyes make it clear that she's downloading something and Syaoran's Clow Card has Jump (the pink rabbit next to him) painted on it. I love them all. Not to mention Tsubasa's Syaoran and Sakura look great together.

I brought Chii and Yuuko in to uni with me today in the hopes of finding them a real home around here, but sadly I don't think they're going to stay.

Oh, and for the record, today's chibi is Hikarino Miko as one of the legendary Magic Knights. The costume design belongs to Brendan, who drew an awesome picture for me one day when I was particularly conflicted as to who I love more: CLAMP or Naoko Takeuchi (I think most of the time CLAMP wins, but don't tell Naoko-sama that).

   Something for Code Geass fans...

Yeah, it's not normally like me to embed youtube videos, but I thought I would give it a try, just this once.

For those who haven't seen any of Code Geass, it's a fairly dramatic series about a boy fighting to destroy an evil empire with some magic, giant robots and all of my favourite anime plot devices. The video linked is the show recast as a high school harem romance anime, or at least the opening theme for such a show. It's very well done.

Goodmorning world.
Well, I got up extra early this morning so I could watch Sailor Moon on Cheez tv, and of course it's not on. What does this mean? Could it all add up to mean that Channel Ten is bastardly and didn't buy the rights to all of Sailormoon R? Let alone S and SuperS? *sighs* I just knew it was too good to be true.

But I will tell you one thing: Spiderman Unlimited sucks big time. What is with that cape? It's so incredibly ugly. I'd show a picture here, but of course I can't find any on the place called the internet. But I did find an almost unlimited number of sites saying just how sucky it is. So I guess I'm not the only one who thinks it's terrible. First time for everything.

So yeah. Story of my morning. Hopefully tomorrow Sailormoon will be back on and all will be well.

Right now I'm downloading episode i of Hikaru No Go, which seems interesting enough. Actually, episode i just finished, so I guess I'm downloading episode ii now. *smiles* Mmm... burning my bandwidth... Well, it's not like anyone else in my family takes advantage of the high amount of downloads we can get, well, 'cept my brother who is constantly downloading pr0n. Anyway, the only real limit to the amount of anime I can get would be the fact that I only have a 2Gb harddisk in this computer. But on the other computer (which will hopefully become linked to the network soon) I do have 2Gb just of chobits, which is so cool... *giggles* I probably should get my boyfriend on the case and get him to burn those to cd so that I can have the space back for something else. Or I could invest in a burner of my own...

Anyway, I have some washing to go put on the clothesline now, so I'd best go do that.
