The closing of tabs and other fun links I've been sitting on for a while...
The plot for Act I of the sequel to the Phantom of the Opera. I keep wishing it is a parody, but something tells me it's not. I'm going to see Phantom again on the 2nd of September with D'Arth Mathias and her fiance, and it's going to be awesome. Hoping for Anthony Warlow again.
Neil Gaiman interviews Terry Pratchett - these guys are two of my favourite writers, and it makes me happy that they're such good friends.
The breeding properties of M&Ms - I love this story, and will happily join in this behaviour.
Newspaper Blackout Poems by Austin Kleon.
These two Cat and Girl comics bring warm feelings to my heart.
And I want to buy this book based solely on its cover art. Actually, having browsed the galleries, I want to read any book with a cover by Dan Dos Santos. Because it's all amazing. And if the books turn out to be crap I would want to write new books based on his images. I love them.

I think that's it for the moment. *grins* Have a nice weekend, all.

Damn, blast and a muddy bucket of pitch...Neil Gaiman did a panel with Isobelle Carmody in Melbourne, and I can't even get into his Sydney reading because I quite stupidly thought "maybe it was someone else's turn" and didn't book until it was too late and all booked out. It's just not bloody fair. My favourite hermit and my favourite author-about-town chatting about what inspires them, and I didn't even know it was on until it was over.
I so would have blown off work for a few days if I'd known. *sighs*
Anyway, have maths papers to mark. Bye blog.

Headaches and throat infections and trying desperately to recover before heading out to England oh my...So I'm feeling decidedly crappy, and have been unable to keep my brain focussed on a single thing for more than ten seconds for the last two days, but the doctor thinks that the headaches belong to the throat infection, which is mild and should be gone within a few days. I just have to survive until then.
In the meantime this story has made my week.
