I'm still really tired...I'm not sure I'm over this glandular thing. It sucks.
I was sitting on the train today. The woman next to me was eating a piece of cake and swearing every time she got a crumb on her skirt. Serves her right for not picking up a serviette or something. But what really puzzled me was that she didn't just swear, she was cursing, "Jesus!" constantly.
It made me wonder... If she was Christian, she shouldn't be taking the lord's name in vain. If she wasn't Christian, why was she invoking someone else's god? In the old days, such blasphemy was shocking, hence people used it, but in this day and age, it's not so shocking, so swearing like that makes little sense, when you think about it.

It's just another phrase that has become overused to the point that it has no meaning anymore, much like "I couldn't care less" (which has become the moronic "I COULD care less").
