All alone,
I once again must face my fear.
At once familiar and strange,
That face which haunts my dreams.
Blackest night against the hope of day;
May my heart be strong enough to let me win.
I do not wish to fight anymore,
I cannot hide my fear.
I must be calm,
Feel no emotions.
But I look at his face,
And my resolve crumbles.
I cannot defeat him,
I cannot save myself,
I cannot protect anyone.
Promises are broken,
Memoriess die;
One face that seems to cry.
For her I will not surrender,
For her I will not die.
And for the one who lies here,
Dying,
The one for whom I care so much,
For them I will still fight.
Somehow I stand,
Ignore the pain.
I open my eyes,
Two tears fall,
But they are all I allow.
There will be no more suffering.
One way or another,
This ends now.
