Sailor Coruscant

Secret Garden

My heart is a secret garden,
Its walls are high and strong.
The gate is locked at all times,
And only I keep hold of the key.

There is the lady of my garden,
She tidies it up for me.
Keeping the flowers in straight lines,
Making sure nothing is overgrown.

I unlock the gate for the caretaker,
Let her clean the debris from my heart.
While the gate is unlocked and unguarded,
You creap past the caretaker's sight.

In my garden you hid from the guardian,
And explored all the wonders you found.
In the sunshine you laughed and you loved there,
Taking joy in the light of my heart.

With time you found my hidden glade there,
Where the sun does not often shine.
But here you found dark-coloured roses,
And you sat to listen as a while.

The birds do not sing in my glade here,
The tree is not touched by the wind.
In the place of my silence and shadows,
You stayed here not frightened at all.

You stole from my garden one flower,
When you left through the gate as you came.
You keep that black rose with you always,
Believing that I could never know.

My heart is a secret garden.
Its gate is kept locked at all times.
I let you take one rose with you,
So you may visit my garden again.
