Sailor Coruscant

Choices

I stand on the edge, looking out.
If I close my eyes and wish hard enough,
Do you think that I could fly away?

Above the sky, above the world.
If I was one with the wind,
Could I escape from all that upsets me?

I can hear the whispered words now.
How easy it is for them to speak,
Do they know about the tears that I cry?

They are all too cruel, knowing me.
I dream and as they prey upon my fears,
Do they enjoy it as my poor heart breaks?

Another story, another wish.
I hear the whisper of the wind,
Is it calling me to fly from here?

I want to ignore the words and be calm.
As they tell me he should not care,
Do they not know that I care for him?

The wind blows around me, warming me.
I close my eyes, wrap my arms around me,
Do I try to believe that you are here?

Hopes do die, Hopes destroyed.
Seeking the courage to break my own heart,
Was I foolish to believe that it could work?

I can hear in my heart their words echoed.
As I steel my heart to set you free,
Do I have to courage to step from the edge?
