I hear them calling.
They need my help.
But I am powerless to stop that which is coming.
The power dies down,
The flame flickers out.
I can save no one,
Least of all myself.
I drown in the darkness of my vision.
They are coming,
Take heed.
Hide in the shadows,
Become one with the night.
Take up your weapon,
But do not attempt to fight them.
Use it on yourself, Do what you must to prevent them from taking you.
The colour of blood
Is also their nature.
They will come,
They will take you.
You will not remember,
You will lose that which is yourself,
You will belong to them.
So when you hear of their approach,
Hide yourself as best you can,
And keep your weapon near.
For any choice is better than that which they offer,
Even if that choice is death.
Make your choice now,
I will forgive you your death.
I will understand,
Even if you leave me alone again.
